About Barbara

A lifelong student.
A devoted healer.

"Yoga is not about what your body can do. It's about what yoga can do for your life."

Barbara J. Rotondo has been a devoted student and teacher of yoga since 2000 — drawn first by the practice itself, and then by its profound power to heal. She practices and teaches in the traditions of Viniyoga, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga, blending yoga asana, healing therapies, and spirituality into a practice that is as rigorous as it is compassionate.

Before founding 458 LLC, Barbara built a distinguished 25-year executive career in technology. Most recently, she serves as Chief of Staff for the Healthcare and Life Sciences Sales Organization at ServiceNow — one of the world's leading enterprise technology companies — where she led high-performing teams, influenced significant revenue growth, and built globally-adopted training and mentoring programs.

Beyond her professional work, Barbara is in her third year volunteering as a coach and cheerleader with Special Olympics Golf in Prescott — working one-on-one with an athlete she is deeply proud of.

She holds a Dual Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College in Business/Economics and Art, and executive leadership training through Harvard Business Review Management Essentials.

Gary Kraftsow is widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of yoga therapy in the United States — the teacher who helped establish yoga as a recognized clinical discipline in America. Barbara's 1,000 hours of certification from the American Viniyoga Institute were completed across two rigorous, distinct programs: a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training — qualifying her to teach Asana, Pranayama, meditation, and chanting — and a 500-Hour Yoga Therapy Training — certifying her in the clinical application of yoga as a healing process for acute and chronic conditions. Together, these two programs represent the full spectrum of yoga mastery: from the art of teaching to the science of healing.

Yoga Traditions

Three lineages.
One practice.

01
Viniyoga

The tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar — mastered through 1,000 hours with Gary Kraftsow. A profoundly individualized therapeutic approach that adapts the practice precisely to each person's unique needs, capacity, and goals.

02
Vinyasa Yoga

A fluid, creative practice linking breath to movement in continuous, graceful flow — making yoga accessible, dynamic, and deeply satisfying for practitioners at every level of experience.

03
Ashtanga Yoga

A dynamic, breath-synchronized series building internal heat, focus, and physical strength — the tradition that cultivated Barbara's foundational discipline and devotion to practice since the very beginning.

"The highest form of the practice is to know oneself — and to allow yoga to meet us exactly where we are, not where we think we should be."

— Viniyoga Principle

Our Philosophy

Yoga is not a workout.
It is a way home.

At 458 Wellness, we believe healing is not something that happens to you — it is something that lives inside you, waiting to be remembered. Our work is simply to help you find your way back.

🌬
Breath First

Every session begins with breath — the most immediate tool for nervous system regulation we always carry with us.

🌱
Individualized

In the Viniyoga tradition: the practice adapts to the person, never the person to the practice.

🔬
Evidence-Based

Every method we use has clinical validation. Yoga therapy is a science as much as it is an art.

🤍
Accessible to All

Sliding-scale pricing, free community sessions, and a free digital library mean healing is never a privilege.

Ocean at sunset

"We are a living collection of our thoughts, our emotions, and our behaviors.
Yoga invites us to know each one —
and gently, intentionally,
become more whole."

— Barbara J. Rotondo

Barbara spent years in corporate America — most recently as Chief of Staff at ServiceNow, watching brilliant professionals slowly unravel under impossible workloads. She knows this world intimately. And she knows exactly how yoga therapy can heal it.

Available as in-person workshops for Prescott-area companies, virtual sessions for remote teams, and a self-paced digital course for individuals.
